This past weekend, across the Red River Ringette ages, teams participated in a big tournament, and every one of the teams came home with a medal, marking an incredibly successful weekend for the program.
"Well, we had the pleasure of attending the BVRA (Bonivital Ringette Association) October Classic in South Winnipeg this weekend," explains the President of the Rage, Eric Austman. "It goes over the course of a week, which culminated this past weekend. All of our teams from U10 up to U19 were in that tournament. We go every year as a kickoff to the season. So we had six teams playing. We ended up with a fabulous week. It's a great event put on by the hosts. We go back every year because everyone has a good time. We ended up with all of our teams in the medal round. We had four golds, one silver and one bronze. It's a pretty great achievement for these girls. We have a great experience every year, and while success is not the biggest thing, it's a nice little perk to have come home with a medal at the end of the day. This is really just a warm-up for the season and to get the engine running, and they got it running."
